Kitten Constipation

I found an abandoned kitten that is between 1 and 2 weeks old. I have been feeding her formula from a bottle and "masaging her genitals" with a wet cloth like i've been told to do to get her to go to the bathroom. She will go pee on her own now but it has been 4 days and she still hasn't pooped. I have been getting increasingly worried and I cant find anyone who knows what to do. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi well yes it can be quite difficult with a kitten so young as you can never be sure if there is a congenital problem that could be causing the constipation. With a kitten so young I always recommend a check up at the vets anyway as kittens can be very susceptible to all sorts of problems during their first few weeks especially without mum.
If you cannot get to a vet soon, keep rubbing their tummy with a moist warm ball of cotton wool, especially after they have eaten. it can take some time for their systems to get going.

i have some pages about kitten care which you may find of help, here is one about orphan kittens

best wishes Kate
