Kitty Summer Days

This year summer in the UK has been glorious. Yes it may have gotten off to a slow start ut once it arrived it arrived in style. Hot summer days with cloudless blue skies perfect not only perfect for us but oh boy has our cats Byron and Shelley loved it too.

In fact I must admit that i haven't seen much of them during these hot days and warm nights, just brief visits for some food and perhaps a little tickle under the chin. But apart from that they have spent most of the summer outside (apart from at night i like to have them in at night, saves the killing of too many small critters outside).

As you can see from these two pictures, both cats are looking well and happy. Shelley (the tabby) is the lazy one of the two and this sleepy pose is how you can often find him. Byron on the other hand is nearly always alert and on the lookout for some mischief. It's hard to believe they are brothers.

Both cats recently had their yearly vaccination boosters and i have to report that both were little angels. I am so lucky with these two cats. They not only don't mind getting into their carry boxes but they actually like our vets. Yes that's right they like him. How do i know, well both happily sit in his arms with no struggles or cries and Shelley even got down off the table and rubbed around the vets legs. Something that took the vet by surprise, he says he's never had a cat do that before.

Both cats were given a full examination and passed with flying colours. They are four years old now and have grown into quite large cats, Shelly unfortunately more so, but we are watching his weight.

We would love to hear from you all about how your cats enjoy the summer?

Next we have Fireworks night to contend with and the hope that they don't go on for weeks on end (some chance).

Till next up date
Kate
