Leaving cat for 2 days

there may be a time where I have to leave my cat alone for 2 days.

If he has food and water for a 1 day period, will he be okay? Or should someone be there till i get back?

Well leaving a cat for one day and night with food and water etc I think is ok but two? no i would have someone come in on the second day to replenish the food and water and also give the cat some reassurance. Hopefully you have a nice neighbor or friend who can do this for you.
