Lost and found cat making allot of noise meowing

We recently got a 7 year old cat. After we had him 4 days he jumped up in the window in our apartment and fell out the screen about a 2 ft drop. But that was the last we saw of him for about 3 weeks. A neighbor caught him and brought him home last night and he wont stop Meowing unless we pet him then he starts back up again.

I assume you have had him checked over by a vet since you had him back. i say this as he may have suffered a injury which is not obvious to your. cats are very good at covering up pain etc.

the meowing is an attention getting device from you or if he is not neutered could be his mating call which can be quite insistent. This would be more so now that he has had a taste of being outside. If he is not neutered then having this done would help to calm him down.
