Lost Cat will he come back?

My cat is 10 months old. I've had him for two months. Got him at pound and now he's an indoor cat. Bought cat harness and 2nd time took him outside got away. There was a noise and he tried to run and got caught in harness. Tried to help him, he hissed at me and got out then ran away. Very affectionate cat and comes to me when I call him. Left food out and have been calling for him. Do you think he will return?

yes once he has calmed down he should return.

Keep calling him and leaving food outside for him also you could start to contact neighbors etc to see if he is hiding in shed s etc.
