My kitten has a patch of hair missing from her right leg.My sister had ringworm from a cat before and i herd that alot of cats that are missing patches of fur can cause that.I have a baby on the way and i dont want nothing to harm him so what could it be?

Hi Fur loss can be caused by ringworm and kittens are more vulnerable than adult cats. Kittens should be treated for ringworm from the age of 4 weeks old.

Some cat flea treatments (the monthly spot on treatments)also protect from worms too, so these are a good option.

Your vet or local pet store should be able to give you something to treat your kitten. The vet will also be able to check the area to make sure that there are no other possible causes of the fur loss.
