Your Question

i have just taken on a young stray cat who gave birth to 4 kittens 2 weeks ago, however i have noticed 2 of them had gooey eyes which i cleaned with warm water and cotton wool, however 1 of them seems fine now but the others eyes still stick shut and lots of gooeyness. is there anything i can buy over the counter without an appointment as i have just recently been made redundant from work and struggling to pay for a vet. please help my baby kitten. kind regards gemma.

Hi
well it all depends really on whether it is just eye goo or if it is caused by an eye infection.

please see this page for more information

If it is just gooey eyes then simply washing with cotton wool and warm water is enough. If it is an infection then medication is needed I'm afraid.

Hope they are all well again soon

best wishes Kate
