my cat has chin issues

My cat has food that has been collecting on his chin. I started to clean his chin and now it is irritated I think he may have scratch his chin with his nail and there is a cut. Is there anything safe I can use to heal cut? witch hazel? hydrogen perioxide? vaseline? I don't want it to get infected.

Hi you can wash it down with a mild solution of antiseptic. Your local pet shop should have cat safe creams you can use also.
