My cat is having problems

by Savannah

I need help ASAP! my cat suddenly started to seem as if she was unable to move the back part of her body. She keeps scratching the ground with her hind legs like she does in the litter box only they are spread out. she Hardly will move and keeps meowing. you can tell she is in pain. When i go to touch the back of her tail end, its very sensitive and she jerks. when she trys to walk her hind legs barely move almost like they drag. wat could this be?

Answer from Kate
Hi
unfortunately without an examination it is impossible to say for sure what the problem is. It could range from a trapped nerve to some other internal discomfort.

All you can do for her until you can get her to the vets is to let her lay quietly without any fuss in a comfortable place with fresh water and food nearby.

Lets hope it is something which can be easily sorted out by the vet.

best wishes Kate

in heat

your cat is in heat. mine does tha same thing. acts like she is frozen in that position. either leave her alone or get her fixed. she will either knock it off in a couple of days or do it constantly. i have two cats one does this everyday the other has only done it once and it lasted about 3 days

Thanks
