My Cat is howling

My cat just started making a crying howling kinda noise it's very annoying, why is she doing this?? Shes 10 months old.

hi well cats use meowing to communicate all sorts of things. see here

However in this case i am wondering if your cat is spayed or not. if not then i would consider that this is her caterwauling for a mate i.e is could be in heat.
