my cat is in heat and was about to poo on my bed even though the litter was fine, help?

My cat is now in heat and it seems like she was going to poo on my bed but I shouted at her and she ran downstairs to her litter so I don't know why she would even try to poo on my bed , is there any reasons why she would?

Hi yes its all to do with scent marking an this increases during heat. The reason he would choose your bed s because this area will smell most strongly of you and this is comforting to her and she wants to add her scent to this area too. It is a common place for cats to demonstrate this behavior.
