My cat keeps throwing up white stuff

My cat is about thirteen years old. She keeps thowing up white foamy stuff randomly but more often after she deficates. I dont know whether to take her to the vet or not. Before she throws up she meows like shes saying "rowr" and almost seems like shes forcing it up. What is wrong with her and should we take her to the vet?

there are many reasons why a cat may vomit but from your description i wonder if it is hairballs. See this page for more information on this.

If the symptoms continue over a longer period of time then yes i would take her to the vets to have her checked over. As i say cats vomiting can be caused by all sorts of things
