My cat keeps urinating on my sons bed.

I have a 16 month old male neutured cat who just recently started urinating on my 4 yr old sons bed. Ièm not sure if its because we went away on our first vacation away from him (we had a familiar face over to visit with him every day) or if its because my son sometimes wets the bed at night. Short of keep my sons bedroom door closed I don not know what to do. If you have any advice for me it would be greatly appreciated as I can not keeping washing bedding every day. Thank you for your time..

Yes I would say that it is probably caused by the recent change in routine while you were away and this has made your cat feel insecure in there home environment and the urination is their way of making the home smell more like them which helps to calm them down.

Also beds are a favourite choice of venue as it smells most strongly of you, which is comforting to the cat.

Try your cat with the confinement litter training process described on my web pages as this will help give your cat their confidence back.
