my cat puked up bloody saliva

Can you tell me why my cat puked up bloody saliva? It happened yesterday. She is approx. 16years old. I feel she is very healthy. She is fed only the highest quality food, raw food diet with canned Wellness and a probiotic with purified water. She vomits about 1x a week usually food and hairballs, but never blood like last night. In the last year she has been constipated so I put more water in her food. She seems more tired but still plays and does not seem to be in any pain.

well it could have been caused by a loose tooth or perhaps she cracked a tooth. at her age they do start to get teeth problems which needs regular checkups by the vet.

If the blood is coming from the stomach then i really wouldn't like to say what has caused it but it definitely needs a visit to a vet as soon as possible.
