my cats are urinating on my daybed.

I have two two-year-old cats. When first adopted they were fine but after about 3 weeks starting urinating on my daybed. I took them to the vet and they had urinary tract infections and are finishing up their medication but are still urinating on that bed. I had to throw out the mattress and replace it. I've done everything suggested by the vet and the shelters; namely, uncovering the litter boxes, adding a third box, going back to the original litter (I have been trying out different ones), adding Attract Cat additive to the litter, using paper litter.

Also, in the evening when they want to be fed (I split their canned food into 3 feedings), they continually pace around my chair and continue to do so after feeding.

Have you tried the confinement method of retraining? this is designed to help the cat become more confident about their litter tray and it also help to break the habit of urinating in another spot. the method is described here

As for the crying for more food. All you can do is to make sure that your cats are being fed the correct amount of food each for their weight and size every day. check on the cans for the recommended daily amount. You could also had a small amount of dry cat food to their wet as this helps to fill them up more.

best wishes Kate
