my cats looseing to much fur and has gone underweight

my cat dontay is loosing to much fur and is loosing weight what do you think the problem?

Amanda i am not a vet and so am not qualified to make any sort of diagnosis. However i would say that if your cat is eating noramally and is losing weight and fur then something is definately wrong which should be checked by a vet as soon as possible. There are so many things that it could be, one of them being a thyroid problem. The sooner you go to the vet the better.
