My female cat has blood in her pooh not sure why.

Hi she is about 1 year old and a out door cat she likes catching mice and eating them could this be the cause of it? Or could it be that she has not been spade yet and that it could be her period? Any advise would be helpful thank you. Oh just for your info i have 2 other female cats and they are both fine and they are out door cats but DO NOT EAT MICE. The blood seems stringy fleshy looking

Hi
well yes it is possible that it is her period. The only thing you can do is to keep a eye on her litter tray to see if it happens again tomorrow. I so then you should take her to see the vet in case there is some internal problem. Blood in the feces is never a good sign.

i don't know if eating mice could cause this to happen but it is always possible that some little bones have passed through her system and have torn her insides.

I hope she is Ok again soon

best wishes Kate
