my kitten is in pain

my kitten is 4 and a half month, when i pick her up she cries. i think the pain is around her bottom/lower back, could this be because she has mated for the first time?

Hi
well she is very young to have gone into her first period of heat but it is not impossible for a male cat to have tried with her.

Personally i don't think that this would cause as much pain as you are indicating and so there may be something else wrong.

It is impossible to say what could be causing her discomfort, she really needs to be examined by a vet to discover the cause of her pain.
