My new cat

I just got a new cat female about four months old and I got her from the local animal hospital. I brought her home and she has been very skidish and scared hiding most of the day. She has recently starting loud meowing and wont stop I dont know what is wrong with her is there some way i can help her to not be so scared and not meow so much???

Hi it is not unusual for a new cat to behave like this for a while. it could even last for several weeks before they have come to settle into their new home.

the best thing you can do for her is to let her find her own space, try not to grab her or chase her around, let her hide if thats what makes her feel safe, she will come out when she is ready. Also make sure that you make the home interesting for her, with toys and climbing trees etc see here for some ideas
