My three orphan kittens are trying to nurse each other!

(Powell county, KY)

Oh my goodness! I have three orphan kittens (all male) around three weeks old and I walked into the room the other day and they were trying to nurse each other! I don't know what to do! How can I get them to stop? Is this normal in orphan kittens?

Answer by KAte
Hi yes this is normal for such young kittens to do after all if its furry it could be mum.

Please read my pages about looking after orphan kittens here is the first page

https://www.our-happy-cat.com/orphan-kittens.html

You should keep them apart for the next few weeks, this allows you to monitor them better, their bowel movements etc. My pages give some idea as to how best to do this.

best wishes kate
