My young cat is throwing up liquid only, and losing fur. What's wrong? Please help!

My cat Oreo is a long haired, indoor, tuxedo cat.He is about 6 years old. He is licking his fur off of the backs of his legs and the base of his tail. He is also throwing up liquid only as well. We thought it was just him licking a couple scabs our other cat has given him. Our other cat, Cutie who is a few years older then Oreo, got out about a month ago for a few days. They did not get along very well when we found him and brought him home. But Cutie is showing no signs of illness. Is his licking caused by Cutie? Or something else? Please help us!

Hi
Licking of fur can be a sign of several things, one is anxiety but it could also be an allergy or a parasite problem. You do really need to take him to the vets to be able to rule out a condition first.

i have a page about cat fur loss here which you may find of further interest

https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-hair-loss.html

Also there is a method to help cats get used to each other in a safe environment. this page will explain more

I hope he is better soon

best wishes Kate
