New kitten getting dragged to death???

by Abbey
(Australia.)

Hey.

I have a 6 month old male cat called Butters, and recently i brought home a new male kitten from a new litter that his mother had. The kitten is only just 6 weeks old and i'm concerned as to how Butters is treating it. We have them in seperate rooms but on the first day we werent aware of how we were suppose to handle the situation, and last night (day 2) Butters picked up the kitten by its neck and tried to take it somewhere, and i cant tell weather its an act of love or hate, as there isnt any spitting or hissing that has occured. however he is rather rough when he does this and i have heard the kitten cry out.
If you could help me out i would really appreciate it.

sounds like your older kiteen is not sure what to make of his new brother. He may just be playing with him or he may be mimiking behavior he saw his mother do by picking him up.
I wouldn't worry too much but i would say that you not leave the kittens alone togetaher until the younger one is a few weeks older and more able to stand up for himself just in case the game gets a little rough.
