Nine week old male kitten

My nine week old kitten has quit playing, is now sleeping all the time. I noticed today when he pooped there was blood on his anus. What causes this, and can I treat this?

This could be anything from an infection to something more serious, there is no way to tell. However the symptoms are definitely a sign of a illness that needs professional treatment from a vet. Kittens can go down hill fast as they are particularly susceptible to infections etc. So your only and best option is to take him to a vet as soon as possible.
