over eating cat

my cat she is a mother and her kittens are almost 2 months old she is a feeding mother but does not feed them properly but now her eating habbit has changed she is always hungery and eats more than requried like if i give her a full bowl of cat food she will eat that and want some more i give another she eat again and wants more after every 2 to 3 hours shes hungry and im very worried about that

Hi well at around 8 weeks old the kittens should be starting to be weaned off of their mothers milk and this is probably why she is not feeding them as often. See this page for more on this

As for your mother cat, well giving birth and feeding kittens is very exhausting and their bodies do require more energy at these times. It could be that the food you are feeding her is not satisfying that need. Some foods are more nutritious than others and in fact there are special cat foods for nursing mothers too, but top quality ones will be best.

however some times a mother cat will need some extra cre if having the kittens has meant that she has lost some condition and so i would recommend a trip to the vets to give her a check up and to see if he recommends any special supplement for her at this time to help her regain her condition.
