i recently acquired a cat who is 9 months old. i have had her for 2 days . the first day she did not eat . the second day she ate her food that she had been eating previously and vomited it up twice. why is that?

Hi well if i were you the first thing i would do is to take her to the vets for a check up anyway. It is always advisable to have a health check done when you first get a cat or kitten. This way you will find out if your kitten has any underlining illnesses.

Also new pets will take a few days to settle in anyway and so not eating and then eating too quickly making them vomit is not uncommon. Once he has settled in and seen the vets he will soon calm down.

best wishes Kate
