Pearl The Black Cat

Beautiful Pearl.

Beautiful Pearl.

I rescued/found Pearl in a cemetery days before Halloween, after burying my father's ashes.

It had gotten dark and very cold -- that was 2006. She was a bit beaten up after being dumped off. She had a cut over her eye and on her tail. I had buried my previous beloved cat Olivia next door at my sister's the January prior. I let her/them (pets) find me. I am so glad Pearl found me. I heard a faint meowing and looked around. There she was, walking toward me! I picked her up and placed her on my knee as I crouched. She was very grateful and content.
That was it! I found my new cat. She is so precious and beautiful. Upon leaving the cemetery with Pearl, my sister found another black kitten stuck in the window well of the church next door. She took her in and then called me - telling me how sweet she was and that I should take her as well. I had never really thought about having more than one cat, but I decided to do it. Great decision! That Thanksgiving, Eva joined the family. The joy and entertainment of watching two little kittens play, romp, run, jump, and wrestle was so much more than I expected. I will always have more than one after such a great experience. Now, it has been 15 years, and the good times are still going strong. Pearl and Eva are happy and healthy. They and very special.
