Please help my cat has a problem

Hello and thanks for any help.

First of all my cat is 12 years old and she hadn't any problems like this before.Generaly speaking she's fine, she eat, drink, go to the "bathroom" and so on, but sporadically she gets like these wierd noises from her belly and she stars like throwing up, except she throws up nothing. She just breathe very heavy at that point and starts to swallow a lot like she's trying to swallow something but cant. She's NOT throwing up, but its simmilat to that. And her belly sounds like bad plumbing and at that time she's in pain.awfull
After few minutes later when her belly settles it's like nothing happend. She'll continue to sleep if she slept, or do ather things if she did them before this. But never after a meal, mostly when sleeping at night, but i've seen it during a day also.

Thanks again.

Hi well obviously I cant say for sure as there could be all sorts of internal things going on but I wonder if she has hairballs.

in say this as trying to vomit but not throwing up anything or sometimes just white phlegm is a sign that their could be a hairball problem. Some cats suffer from them more than others. Please see my page about these for more information

https://www.our-happy-cat.com/hairballs.html

However as i say she may have digestive issues which need further investigation from the vet. If you are really concerned about it or if the cat seems distressed by them or if they go on for weeks then perhaps your best option is a trip to the vets to have her checked over, just in case there is a digestive problem.

I she is Ok, she looks so cute from her picture.

best wishes Kate
