Problems with my momma cat

I got a momma cat and her seven week old baby yesterday I came home today and the kitten is MIA and the momma is not moving too much and her eye appears to be bllodshot And has a filmy layer over I'd whAt is wrong with her and is possible she turned on her baby Or what could be wrong with her

Casey, please take your cat to the vets as soon as possible. the symptoms you describe do not sound good and it is impossible for anyone to know what is wrong with her without an examination.

There are too many possibilities to try and guess what the cause could be and it is better to be safe than sorry.
