hi my sister was up to the vet a couple of weeks ago, there was a person then who had four cats,he was going to get two neutered and put the other two a sleep,so my sister called me and asked did i want a cat,i said yes so she took this one year old white cat,so for the past two week all she does is hide away and wont come until nobody is there, then she will eat and use the litter then hide away again,is he always going to be scared.

Some cats are more cautious than others and may take longer to find their confidence. You never know what experiences they had before they came to you and so you should allow your cat to take their own time in getting used to their new home. Read my page on this website about scared cats and how you can help them become more confident (it is under the cat behaviour headings on the left).

I hope it all works out and thank you for saving the life of a innocent cat.
