how can i introduce a semi-stray female adult cat,to my house cats in my home(adult male and female as well as a young male kitten of 9wks.

She is adorable this stray cat and clearly needs a loving home which i am prepared to give,do you think this would be possible in the long run ?I do hope so, has she as nowhere else to go

Hi
good for you i'm sure you can give this cat a home. I would recommend keeping her separate from the other cats until you have her checked over by the vets and have her spayed if she is not already. this will reduce her threat to the rest of the home, also the vet will check to see if she has fleas or worms etc and treat these before introducing them to your other cats.

once all this is done you can start to use the slow method of introduction which helps all the cats get to know each other in a safe environment. It helps to build their confidence with each other. the process is described on this [page

best wishes Kate
