Separation anxiety while I'm on a week-long vacation

My cat is with my brother who has his 8 year-old son twice a week. Teener is fine except when she hears Christopher's voice, she runs out of the room and hides. I've been on vacation and have found out that Teener pooped on my bed and was hissing and making growling noises when my brother tried to move her off the bed. Help! I'm so distraught that I can't be there to calm her and won't be home for another two days. I am so upset, what can I do or tell my brother to do in my absence?

Hi Sadly in just two days there is not a lot that your brother can do. All I can suggest is can he keep her in one room with her bed and litter tray and toys and fresh water. Having less space to worry about will help calm her down, she will also not have to worry about the little boy coming in. She needs quiet and time away from things until you get beck.

best wishes kate

Thank you Kate for your response. I feel so helpless to calm my precious Teener, but I will be home tomorrow and am going to hold and love her till she gets sick of me! Thanks again :)
