seperating kittens will they be sad

my sister and i have two 7 month old male kittens (brothers) they have been together since birth and are now going to be separated permanently how will this affect them?

Hi
well cats are naturally solitary animals, they are not like dogs who are pack animals. So in most cases cats are quite happy to be on there own.

However cats can miss people or other animals just like us. So there may be a period where they appear to be searching for the other cat and may even appear a little down. But this is normal and does not always happen, some cats just get on with being cats.

So don't worry too much, if it is the best thing for the cats to be separated then they will be Ok again ina few weeks as long as they get lots of attention from their human family.

best wishes Kate
