Shaking tail, why?

my cats tail shakes while he is in the kitchen waiting for me to feed him. it looks like a vibrating tail!! why does he do this?

ahh this is common my cat does it. It is sort of a sign of excitement becuase trhey know they are going to get fed. It is nothing to worry about, i think it is quite cute. Love the picture by the way.

I have a girl kitty, and when I get home from work, or if she is especially eager to be fed, the base of her tail vibrates like mad on and off...sorta like a rattle snake. It is Very Cute! It is almost as if they are shaking from anticipation. :-)
