shaking tail

my 9 month old burman cat is crying all the time and she keeps laying down and shaking her tail she hasent been spayed yet could it be to do with that?

Answer by Kate
well yes it certainly could be down to her coming into season. At 9 months she is certainly old enough and often the shaking of the tail is a sign of excitement etc crying is also associated with calling for a mate.

The first time owners see a cat go through their first heat etc it can look rather strange and can be worrying.

please see my pages about cats in heat etc here

best wishes Kate
