Should I get one or two cats

by Jason

I have a male Persian, a little over two years old. We previously had an older female cat that passed away around six months ago, so he is familiar with living with another cat.

My wife and I are now about to get a new kitten and were wondering if it would be better to get one or two. The two-year old is still very active and kittenish in his behavior.

Hi I would say if you are going to get another cat that you should get a female cat.

There is a process which helps to introduce cats to each other so that they are able to become familiar and confident with each other without the fear of fights etc. This page describes the process
