Sick kitten

my kitten is six weeks old he has mucus in his diarrhea and has been throwing up yellow phlegm. he is laying around won't eat or drink what is wrong with him?

Kittens can be prone to infections especially early on and at six weeks old he is very young indeed.

The only way to say for sure what is wrong with him would be for a vet to have a look at him, otherwise all you can do is to take guesses.

Your kitten should still be with his mother at six weeks and getting her milk, i'm not sure if that is the case as you have not said. if not then it is quite possible that he is not getting the correct nutrition. Again he will need specail kitten food as he is not old enough to be weaned yet.

my advice would be to get him to a vets to have him checked over.If he does have an infection he will need antibiotics. Other wise you need to make sure that he is getting the correct food please see my page hear about this
