Sick Kitty blood in urine

by Jennifer
(Chesapeake)

I'm very sorry I was unable to make a donation I hope that doesn't stop you from helping me, if I had money I'd take my kitty to the vet but again I'm sorry.. My cat is about 3yrs old, inside cat, fixed as a kitten, and my mom said she urinated blood today,, is this normal? I'd greatly appreciate your help.

hi
blood in the urine is never a good sign and could be a sign of an urinary infection.

Unfortunately this does need to be investigated by a vet. If you have difficulty in paying for treatment please find out if there a local animal charity that may be able to help with costs. Sometimes your local vet will know if there are any in your area.

i have a web page about cat urinary infections for more information here

https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-urinary-problems.html

I hope something can be sorted out soon as it is very unpleasant and uncomfortable for the cat if there is an infection.

best wishes Kate
