Something leaked out of my female cat!

I picked up my 6 year old female spayed kitty (Cassandra) last nite to clip her nails. As I perched her on my vanity to cut her nails she 'leaked' some kind of liquid down the front of me. This liquid did not have a urine-like smell. It was sort of brown. I put her down and she proceeded to groom herself well, as she usually does. What could this be? Is she sick? Thanks!

Are you sure it was not feces? Perhaps she has a stomach upset.

if it was not feces then the other possibility is that it was either an abscess which burst or she has an internal infection of some sort.

Did you notice where it came from?

Very odd in deed. Keep an eye on her and check her over to see if she has any wounds etc. If she is ok other wise and it does not happen again hopefully whatever it was is finished.
