stray cat

there has been a stray cat outside my bedroom window for the last 3-4 days and is always crying, well i think it is, its not a normal cat sound anyway, and it is there both day and night. Why is it hanging around the same place making the same noise and what should i do.

Sounds to me like it could be a mating cry. it does sound rather strange to our ears.

It could be either a male or female but i would bet its more likely to be a male cat.

this is normal behavior, he is calling out so that females in the area can find him. your area is obviously his territory and that is why he always around. there is nothing you can do about this i'm afraid. i too have a male stray cat that meows a lot, it does come and go , so dont worry it is unlikely to be a constant issue.
