three year old skinny cat

My cat is only 3 years old and he is a fairly active boy. However, over the last month or so he has become really skinny. I thought it may have been a tapeworm so I gave him the paste in his food but there is still no change. He is so skinny that when you pat over his back you can feel his backbone. Other than that, he is acting completely normal and has not lost his appetite. Any ideas?

the best thing i can say is to get your cat checked by the vet, it could be a number of things which will need to be sorted out sooner rather than later. It may be his thyroid which will need medication.
