unusual cat behaviours

my cat is 6/7 years old and have never had any trouble with her. i moved to this house a year ago and she has never really settled as there is a fighting tomcat around, but not sure if this has resulted in her behaviour. She has stopped eating solid food, I have tried liquidized food and she loved this for a few weeks but what she does after worries me. she appears very frightened lowering her body to the ground, then she will let out a sqeal and runs for her life outside for a while.she sometimes hisses at me as if i have poisoned her!!. she even does it at odd times during day and night and no food involved.Also she will only eat/drink if I am sitting with her. can u help. thankyou, amanda

Hi well this is either an extreme case of a timid cat afraid of her surroundings or she is in some pain or discomfort which is causing her strange behavior.

If it were my cat I would definitely take her to the vets to have her checked over in case there is something physically wrong.

The alternative if there is nothing physically wrong is to try and help her build her confidence and become less afraid.
