using litter tray at night

by Natasha
(Australia)

I want my cat to sleep in my bedroom(in a basket or my bed, i dont mind)and i will most probably close the door because my parents dont like the cat going in all the house at night. the litter tray is in another part of my house. will the cat need to use the litter tray at night?

thanks

Answer by KAte
yes it is most likely. if you do not put the tray in your room at night he will probably try to wake you up to be let out or in an emergency have to go elsewhere in your room.
So yes if you intend on keeping your cat in your room at night, you must make sure that he access to a bowl of fresh water and the litter tray.

best wishes kate
