vomiting & pooping on carpet

My 16 year old cat (who does have Hyperthyroidism, which she takes medication for) has been throwing up and pooping on the carpet a lot lately. She's been to the vet recently for a checkup and bloodwork and they said everything looked good. Why could she be getting sick so much and not pooping in her litterbox? The poop looks kind of green and wet and not like her normal poop. She's an indoor cat.

Hi well i am not a vet and so cannot give you a diagnosis of any sorts. It may just be a coincidence that she has a tummy upset which may have nothing to do with her condition.

I am surprised your vet did not suggest any thing else for you. If I were you i would ask them again about this and what you should do for your cat or even get a second opinion. Any prolonged vomiting or diarrhoea needs to be investigated further.

I do have two web pages about these issues which you may find of further interest here they are

https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-diarrhea.html

i hope something can be sorted out soon, it can't be nice for either of you.

best wishes Kate
