Why is my cat peeing a clear liquid?

I have a two year old female cat who is not spayed. I adopted her when she was one. She has recently started "peeing" a colorless, smelly liquid. However, it smells nothing like cat pee.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Could it be that she is in heat?

HELP!

Hi She shouldn't be peeing anything else than urine, so if a liquid is coming from her rear end and is very smelly but does not smell like urine i would say that she may have an infection.

I have a web page about cats in heat with information about their behavior etc which you may find of further interest here

https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-in-heat.html

I would take her to the vets for a check up in case there is an infection, you want to catch these things quickly before they take hold and become really nasty. Always better to be safe than sorry i think.

Hope she is ok

best wishes kate
