Will tom cats attack my female kitten?

by natasha

is my 14 week old female kitten safe around 2 tom cats spraying in my garden , my little tilly keeps chasing them im scared they will attack her ?

Answer from Kate
well depends what you mean by safe. Cats will always have their fights etc and this may result in scratches and bites and theres no way of preventing this. Cats will try to avoid fights if they can as injury is not in their best interest in the wild. So if your kitten is just trying to play with them they will either play back or run away at this stage.

I have the same problem with a stray tom cat in our area who keeps attacking my two boy (neutered) cats. we have decided to try and catch him and have him spayed then release him again, this will calm him down and make him less aggressive.

At 14 weeks your female is probably too young to be spayed but she may start to become of interest to the two males soon, so as soon as your cat is old enough it is advisable to have her spayed straight away before any accidents occur.
